What you will need!

1 English Oven Pizza Base

50 gms Mozzarella Cheese, grated

30 gms Cheddar Cheese, grated

15 gms Parmesan Cheese, grated

1 Onion, finely chopped

2-3 Garlic Cloves, minced

2 Tomatoes cut into small dices

2 tbsp Tomato Puree

2 tbsp Ketchup

1 tsp Oregano

4-5 Basil leaves

3 tbsp Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper

Oregano for garnish

How to make

Putting it together

Heat oil in a pan, sauté the onions and garlic till soft and transparent.


Add the tomatoes and cook on a low flame, till they soften, add the ketchup and puree and season with oregano, salt and pepper.


Cook for 5-6 minutes till the sauce is thick and bubbling. Add the basil leaves and let them soften. Check seasoning and remove from heat.


You can cool and bottle this up to a week. If you plan to make a large batch, add a bit of olive oil before bottling.


To make the pizza, pre-heat the oven to 200C. Spread the pizza sauce on the base, top with mozzarella, then cheddar and finally the parmesan.


Bake for 4-5 minutes or till the cheese melts evenly. Remove from oven and garnish with dry oregano, serve hot.
